KC and Janelle Clements founded Michiana Indoor Comfort in early 2000 with a simple mission to provide quality products at an affordable rate. Over the last twenty six years, we have grown from a small shop into a professional leader for home services. In 2024, the leadership passed to Justin Clements and Tiffany Troyer, who carry forward our legacy of integrity. We focus on building long term relationships by providing a straightforward and honest approach to every job.

Over the last two decades, we’ve grown from a small HVAC shop into a premier, multi-division home service leader.
How often should I really change my HVAC filters?
1″ filters – about the width of a finger – should be changed monthly, whereas 4″+ filters – about the width of a hand – should be changed at least once per year. If you have pets or allergies, filters will likely need checked & changed more frequently.
Can I perform any maintenance on my own HVAC system to save money?
Yes! Routine filter changes are the best thing for your systems. We also recommend replacing thermostat batteries once per year to avoid corrosion damage, and washing your outdoor AC condenser every summer to help your system breathe. These small steps can help prevent equipment strain & breakdowns.
What is the price difference between a heat pump and a traditional furnace?
Traditional furnaces often cost less upfront to install, but use more energy over the lifetime. A heat pump is very energy efficient, but equipment & installation costs are higher.
What is "Flat-Rate" pricing and why do you use it?
Most contractors charge by the hour, which can lead to surprise bills if a job takes longer than expected. We use a flat-rate book based on industry standards. You see the final price before we ever turn a wrench, no hidden fees, just honesty.
Can you service my equipment even if you didn’t install it?
Absolutely. While we are authorized dealers for brands like Franklin and Generac, our technicians are highly trained to diagnose, repair, and maintain all major brands of HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.
