Our History Since 2000
Michiana Indoor Comfort Systems was started by KC and his wife Janelle in early 2000. From small beginnings, they grew an HVAC company. KC made a name for MICS by providing expert & professional diagnostic, quality service & repairs, all with a straightforward & honest sales approach. Instilling these traits in his staff, KC has grown a group of honest, skilled, and professional people into a team eager to serve the community.
In the late 2000’s, we expanded our customer base when we purchased the phone number for Eric’s Heating & Refrigeration. In 2016, MICS expanded again in a big way when we moved into a new building opened an electrical division called Shekinah Electric Plus. Shekinah Electric, Inc. was owned by Ron Denlinger for over 20 years. When Ron sold his company name and assets to MICS, he joined our team as well, and has since helped guide our electrical division over the last two years.
Now MICS continues to grow in different ways as KC has passed the company’s day-to-day leadership on to his son and daughter. As the MICS team continues to grow, KC hopes to pass his knowledge and values to the next generation of family and HVAC, generator, and electrical experts.

We follow high installation standards on every call. Our technicians are required to complete 100 hours of continuing technical education annually to stay current with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing technology.
